
Han-Yen Kao performs One Study One Summary at the National Concert Hall in Taipei
In the first half of the concert , Dai Hanzhi will perform philosophical works including "Monster Ballet" by composer Casey Cangelosi and "Shape of Creation" by Fabian Otten. Dai Hanzhi also commissioned band member Lu Huanwei to create "Blooming" to showcase her emotions and dialectics about percussion performance over the years.
Gao Hanyan chose works such as Ludwig Albert's "Feeling the Sunshine", John Psathas' "One Study, One Summary" and Pierre Jodlowski's "Time and Money". He will also challenge the "First Movement" of Rachmaninov's "Piano Concerto No. 2" on the marimba.
The two will also collaborate on composer Austin Keck's "The Road to Infinity" and Gao Hanyan's "Origins and Legends - Poems of Dawu Mountain", showcasing their long-standing performance rapport.
The Dai Hanzhi and Kao Hanyan solo recital will be held on June 5 at the National Concert Hall in Taipei.
