The marimba, vibraphone, and electronics are the central elements of "Marimbatronic," the new program presented by Claro-born percussionist Luca Borioli, who has also composed four pieces for the occasion. Alongside these premieres, there will also be two pieces by composers specializing in music for percussion instruments. You can experience it all on Saturday, May 6th at 7:00 PM in the new auditorium of Casa Cavalier Pellanda in Biasca, thanks to a classic-pop-latin concert featuring Ivan Trevino and John Psathas. Admission is 22 francs (17 francs reduced), and light refreshments will follow. The dominant theme common to all these pieces is the rhythm, which, alternating between slow and meditative moments and faster and more impetuous ones, accompanies the audience throughout the evening. Luca Borioli, who usually plays with various Swiss orchestras or in chamber music projects, tries something unusual with “Marimbatronic,” with a program that touches not only classical music but also pop and Latin music.
