Performance Introduction

The Ju Percussion Ensemble of Taiwan has been invited to participate in the China Shanghai International Arts Festival for the fourth time. The program consists of seven pieces, half of which are original works by the ensemble: composer-in-residence Pasadas' *The Flow of Love*, composer-director Lu Huanwei's *JDNA*, Chang Chun-liang's *Princess Changping*, and Kao Han-yen's *Blazing Path: Connected Sounds*. The other half comprises the ensemble's repertoire—Mecini and Metz's *The First Cycle*, Whibri's *Restless Journey*, and Kao Han-yen's rendition of Beethoven's *Moonlight Sonata* as *Moonlight Party*. The ensemble's last performance at the Shanghai Symphony Hall was in December 2025 for a joint concert for its teaching system. The program is subject to change.
