For our opening concert of the season, we are thrilled to have percussionist extraordinaire Peter Ferry as our guest artist and co-curator. As a member and Assistant Director of NYC's Alarm Will Sound, Mr. Ferry has established himself as an important force in today's contemporary music scene and we are excited to have him here in Calgary! Come hear a dynamic program of works by many of the most exciting living composers from around the world: Salina Fisher (NZD), John Psathas (NZD), Osvaldo Golijov (ARG), Gabriella Smith (US), Nicholas Bonaccio (US), Emmanuel Sejourne (FR), Elliot Cole (US), Vincent Ho (CAN), and Marc Mellits (US). Calgary’s JUNO-nominated Land’s End Ensemble opens its season with A Night of Percussion, a dynamic concert co-curated with acclaimed American percussionist Peter Ferry. The program explores the limitless sound world of percussion — from classical chamber works to surprising everyday objects, offering audiences a vibrant, playful, and deeply moving evening of contemporary music.
