Orchestra De Ereprijs - Ereprijs Xtra & Guests - contemporary music & legacy of Louis Andriessen

The eighth edition of the Andriessen Festival will take place on June 6, 2026! The highlight will be the performance of De Staat by Orkest De Ereprijs. You'll also hear the new show "Voices at the End" by New Zealand composer John Psathas.

This edition features three major works. In the evening program, Orchestra De Ereprijs proudly presents Louis Andriessen's iconic work "  De Staat" in an arrangement by Janco Verduin for De Ereprijs with guests. The afternoon program features Christiaan Richter's " Afbuig" trilogy performed by the Luna Quartet with accordionist Vincent van Amsterdam, as well as the recent production by New Zealand composer John Psathas, " Voices at the End."

As in every edition of this festival, the very latest music will be performed alongside existing works: the world premiere of Tadeusz Wielecki will be performed by Ereprijs Xtra, the collaboration between Orkest De Ereprijs with Phion and soprano Michaela Riener. During the early afternoon programme, wonderful musicians will play at two locations; Johan Luijmes in the Eusebius Church and Katharina Gross in Musis will perform works by Kate Moore, Giuliano Bracci, Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio and Andries van Rossem. In addition, the premiere of Young Composers Meeting 2025 laureate Yeji Kim will be played and works by Tom Johnson, Erika Vega, Gerhard Stäbler, Noah Noordzee and Jonathan Schafer will be heard. The Andriessen festival is organised by Orkest De Ereprijs in collaboration with Phion and Musis.
