Maat Saxophone Quartet and Kalina Vladovska
The Dutch-Portuguese Maat Saxophone Quartet, ECHO Rising Stars 25/26 and winner of Dutch Classical Talent 2022, and percussionist Kalina Vladovska (winner of the 2019 Princess Christina Competition and Artist in Residence of the Gelderland Music Summer 2023) join forces.
In an energetic program, they demonstrate the rich sound of the combination of saxophones and percussion: from tightly rhythmic pieces to poetic, floating soundscapes. The program includes works by John Psathas and Daniel Lourenço, complemented by virtuoso dances and folk music influences from Brazil and Eastern Europe. A vibrant journey full of color, momentum, and the joy of playing.
