Concordia Obbicht (percussion ensemble)The Concordia percussion ensemble from Obbicht will perform on July 18 in the concert division for percussion ensembles. The group participated in the marching competition five times and won the world title in the first division in 2013. Of the three participations in the concert competition for percussion ensembles, the second place with the golden timpani for the most creative program in 2022 was the most successful. For 2026, the percussion ensemble presents the thematic program 'Musica Sacra'. The program takes the listener from darkness to light, from doubt to redemption. The performance includes 'White Feather' by John Psathas, 'Devil's Dance' by Menno Bosgra, 'Hohner' by David Maslanka, 'MessAIah?' by conductor Etienne Houben, and 'Thy Kingdome Come' by Jacob Remmington. Concordia Obbicht looks forward with confidence to the performance of both the percussion group and the wind orchestra. The WMC marks the culmination of intensive preparations in which musicians, conductors, and the board have worked on a program that reflects the creativity, perseverance, and togetherness of the association.
