Buyan Performance Audio information
Audio mixed by John Neill at Park Road Post Productions
Buyan_PERFORMANCE BACKING_DryMix_24fps_20170501.wav
This backing audio track is likely to be used most often. It has no added reverb (apart from a
few essential exceptions), and will match the non-amplified dry, non-reverbed sound of
acoustic timpani in a recital space. Using this track as the backing will result in the most
natural blend between pre-recorded elements and the live timpani.
Buyan_PERFORMANCE BACKING__ReVerb_24fps_20170501.wav
This reverb-only track can be mixed with the dry track as needed to add a controllable
amount of reverb to the backing audio. This is an option in extremely dry acoustic situations
where some reverb may be needed for the backing. Having the reverb separated in this way
allows for variable degrees of wetness for a range of situations.
Buyan_ALT PEFORMANCE_for amplifed timp_24fps_20170501.wav
In cases where the timpani are amplified and have reverb added to the amplified sound, this
backing track is fully mixed with reverb to match the timpani. This option allows for bigger-
scale, louder performances.
Buyan_CLICK_24fps_20170501.wav
The backing track is intended to provide the timpanist with all the audio information required
to perform without a click track. But in cases where an in-ear click track is necessary it is
provided here. There are no additional count-in bars as the timpanists does not begin playing
immediately.
Buyan_REFERENCE Mix_24fps_20170501.wav
A reference track including a MIDI timpani performance.
